New Flush-Style Residential Sprinkler

Viking Corporation, a worldwide leader in fire protection and life safety systems, is pleased to introduce a new 4.9 (71) K factor, “flush-style” sprinkler to its leading Freedom® residential line. With its low flow and pressure requirements, the new model VK476 pendent sprinkler is both a hydraulically-efficient and aesthetically-pleasing solution for protecting all types of residential applications, including ceilings with beams. The new residential flush sprinkler is UL listed for up to 20 x 20 ft (6.1 x 6.1 m) rooms. The sprinkler, which has a 165° F (74° C) temperature rating, is also listed for use with sloped ceilings with a 4/12 (18.4°) pitch. Additionally, the new sprinkler may be used to protect ceilings with beams up to 10 inches (254 mm) in depth, with the sprinkler installed on the underside of the beam.
